Georgia native, former Marine killed in crash at CR 30/Old Dixie

Downed trees at the end of the intersection of Old Dixie Highway and C.R. 30/Foley Road were the only visible signs of a horrific accident that claimed the life of a Dawson, Ga., native some time this past weekend.

A Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TSCO) deputy noticed the damaged trees Monday afternoon and, when he took a closer look, spied the 2005 Volkswagen Jetta entangled in a strand of thick brush located on the south side of C.R. 30.
