John Roland Whiddon Sr.

John Roland Whiddon Sr. was born Aug. 23, 1953, in Perry and died Oct. 27, 20024, at his home in Boyd. He was 71. John served in the United States Marine Corps, as well as the United States Army. While in the Marines, he served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Norman and Eva Mae Whiddon; and his brothers, Norman, Richard and Ben Whiddon. John leaves behind: his precious children John (Karla) Whiddon Jr., Heath (Charity) Whiddon and Felicia (Jeremy) Denmark; nine grandchildren, Kirsten (Abe) Barron, Cody, Ashe, Bailey, Emmalyn, Preston, Mabry, Aiden and Kayce; his great-grandson, Trayce; sisters, Carrie Akins, Elizabeth Hicks and Eva Akins; and brother, Jessie Whiddon and James Whiddon. Military Services will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 1, at noon with Chris Arnold and Heath Whiddon officiating. In lieu of f lowers, donations may be made to his family.
