Nellean Wilson Griffin, 78, of Perry quietly transitioned from her labor to enter the glory of the Lord and to rest forever with Him on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024. She was born Dec. 15, 1945. Celebration of Life services were held Sunday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m., in the sanctuary of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Her earthly bed of slumber is at Springhill Cemetery in Perry. Sister Nellean Wilson Griffin left a sweet, sustaining memory in her loved ones’ hearts. Her love, life and legacy will forever be embedded in their hearts and spirits. Those who will miss her until they meet again are: her sons, Alex J. (Ronette) Griffin Jr., Terry Griffin, and Gary (Rosetta) Griffin; daughters, Adrienne (Samuel) Griffin Jones and Janet (Earl Sr.) Griffin Cobb; a special daughterin-love, Lesa Griffin; grandchildren, Terry C. Griffin, Alexandria Griffin, Alexis Griffin, Alex Griffin III, Zachary Griffin, Jimmy Marshall III, Demetrius Jones, Deron Jones, Jermal Ford, Tajrick Ford, Terrence Ford, Earl Cobb Jr., Christopher Cobb, Jarred Cobb, Gary Griffin, Savannah Griffin, Jalyn Stafford, Sharonda Moore, Johnny Stevenson, LaPadre Stevenson, Kennedy Griffin, Kyle Loney and Sapphire Griffin; and 21 great-grandchildren; along with many other sorrowing relatives and loving friends. Final care and compassionate services are being provided to the Griffin family, with love, care and uncompromising dignity by J.P. Moore Mortuary & Cremation Services.
