Joshua Edwards

Joshua Edwards, 42, of Tampa passed away on Nov. 1, 2024, at Advent Health in Tampa, Florida. Josh was born on July 12, 1982, to Booker Edwards and Stacey Sneed, whom he affectionately called “Bay.” He attended school in Taylor County and was a proud graduate of the Class of 2000. After high school, Josh joined the United States Army and served his country with valor and pride. Joshua had an infectious smile and he was always the life of the party. We will forever cherish the precious memories of our time spent with him. He is survived by: his children, A1C Deja S. Edwards of Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB), Idaho, Joshua Edwards Jr. and Jalania Edwards, both of Lakeland, and Leina Edwards of Perry; mother and step-father, Stacey (Sylvester Sr.) Hugger of Perry; father and stepmother, Booker (Phyllis) Edwards of Madison; sister, Deonna Edwards of Perry; aunt (second mom), Dorothy Grimes of Tampa; aunt, Patricia Brown of Miami; uncle, Johnny Edwards of Perry; aunt, Linda (Syl) Bellamy of Perry; Godmother, Geraldine Slaughter of Perry; step-siblings, Syl Jr. (Liz), Dorothy (James), Deborah (Daniel) and Cody; adopted siblings, Chiquita Green of Miami, Keyana (Keney) Simmons of Perry and Willie Neal Jr. of Valdosta, Ga.; and his brotherhood, Andre Bolden, Ryan Bolden, Auturo Flowers, Johnny Hankerson Jr., Vernon Faulk and Shermon Faulk.
