    Bank robber remains at large

    UPDATE: According to the Perry Police Department, shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, an unidentified black male entered the Citizen’s State Bank, located at 2000 S. Byron Butler Parkway) in Perry.

    The suspect demanded cash, took an undisclosed amount and left the bank, officials said. “The suspect exited the west doors of the bank and fled from the area south east across a busy highway to what we believe was an awaiting light colored SUV.”

    No bank tellers, customers or first responders were injured during the robbery.

    SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:

    • Height: Approximately 5’9”
    • Weight: Approximately 175 pounds
    • Sex: Male
    • Build: Medium
    • Complexion: Light
    • Race: Black
    • Age: late 20s to mid 40s
    • Remarks: The suspect wore a black stocking cap, a fake beard, a gray sweatshirt, and dark jeans.

    PREVIOUS:

    Perry Police Department officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Citizens State Bank on U.S. 19 sometime around 4 p.m. Monday.

    There were no reported injuries and the investigation is ongoing, according to sources.
