    Mary Lollis Sadler

    Mary Lollis Sadler It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary (Lollis) Sadler, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mary was born on Feb. 18, 1943, in Cordele, Ga. She passed away peacefully on Dec. 17, 2024, in Perry. She dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones, and found immense joy preparing delicious meals and desserts for anyone who would join. Her gentle, loving spirit extended beyond taking care of family and friends to her cherished dogs, whom she adored. Mary’s true happiness came when she was free to dote on her loved ones and friends. Despite facing various challenges, Mary was always upbeat and generous. Her work life included: waitressing and cooking, a dedicated manager in the convenient store industry and chief encourager. Her warm smile and kindness brightened the days of those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of compassion and unwavering love will continue to inspire us all. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Edd Sadler; sons, Warren Sadler and Buddy Hammock; daughter, Teresa Teague; brothers, Sonny Lollis and Richard Lollis; and her parents, Hugh Lollis and Edna Inez (Willard) Lollis. She is survived by: her children, Belinda Leger, Gary Hammock, Maria Hunter, Lisa Sadler and Edwina Schapper; sisters, Marsha Lollis and Debbie Omans; and brothers, Mike “Doc” Lollis, Lee Lollis and Joe Lollis; as well as her grandchildren and greats, and a host of nieces and nephews. Rest in peace, sweet, beautiful Mary, your memory will forever remain cherished in our hearts. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 20, at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home at 11 a.m, with Brother Crickett Watson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Indian Springs Cemetery.
