Cowboys, swampwater & crabs! Steinhatchee festival has it all

Steinhatchee is preparing for a population explosion this weekend as thousands of visitors are expected take to the streets for the 6th annual Fiddler Crab Festival.

Activities kick off this Friday and continue through Sunday, Feb. 14-16.

PHOTO: The Steinhatchee Community Projects Board has announced it will donate 50% of the proceeds raised from the annual Duck Race to Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Robert Lundy, who was injured in the line of duty Wednesday, Feb. 5. The group has 150 ducks for sale, just $5 each. The race will begin “when the tide is right” Saturday afternoon, Feb. 15.
