Although the $3.3 million in projected revenue losses next year are a fraction of the county’s current $100 million budget, they represent a more than 20% drop in total property tax revenues, which are used to fund many of the county’s most important departments, including law enforcement, fire protection, emergency medical services (EMS) and many more.
