English outlines his budget proposal

As the Taylor County Commission continues to grapple with how to balance a 2025-26 budget in the face of an expected $3.3 million loss in property tax revenue, Commission Chair Jamie English unveiled a proposal this week that could potentially make up as much as $2.9 million of that amount using a combination of budget cuts and changing how the county spends its local one-cent surtax revenues.
