Taylor County had a close encounter with Florida’s growing space industry Tuesday evening when the SpaceX Dragon capsule “Freedom” carrying two U.S. astronauts who had been in space for 286 days landed safely in the Gulf roughly 50 miles off the coast of Steinhatchee and Keaton Beach.
