    PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION
    Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Chapter 373, Florida Statutes, the following application for permit was received on March 28, 2025:
    Taylor County School District, 318 N. Clark St., Perry, FL, 32347 has submitted an Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) application number ERP-123-206892-3. The project is located in Taylor County, Section 6, Township 5 South, Range 8 East, and includes 0.99 acres of impervious area on a total project area of 4.13 acres.
    Interested persons may comment upon the application or submit a written request for a staff report containing proposed agency action regarding the application by writing to the Suwannee River Water Management District, Attn: Resource Management, 9225 C.R. 49, Live Oak, Florida 32060. Such comments or requests must be received by 5:00 PM within 14 days from the date of publication.
    No further public notice will be provided regarding this application. A copy of the staff report must be requested in order to remain advised of further proceedings.     CITY OF PERRY FAIR HOUSING PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING NOTICE
    The City of Perry will conduct a Fair Housing Public Information Meeting in the City Council Room at City Hall located at 224 S. Jefferson Street, Perry, Florida 32347 on Tuesday, April 22, 2024 at 4:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard. The meeting is intended to provide the general public, property owners, housing professionals and local elected officials with information concerning fair housing.     SECOND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
    The City of Perry is considering applying to the Florida Department of Commerce (the grant agency) for a FFY 2023-2024 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of approximately$6,750,000 in the Neighborhood Revitalization grant category. The City will ask the grant agency to fund the application under the benefit to low and moderate-income persons National Objective.
    The activities, location, estimated dollar amounts, and estimated percentage benefit to low-to-moderate income (LMI) persons are as follows:

    1. Fire Station- CDBG-NR funds in the amount of $5,325,000 will be used to construct a one-story fire station building that includes four bays for fire trucks, space for on-call fire fighters, and parking with associated signals and signage. The building will be approximately 11,000 square feet in area. The LMI benefit for this activity is over 51%.
    2. Land Acquisition- CDBG-NR funds will be used to purchase the land on which the fire station will be constructed. The land consists of two vacant adjacent lots with a total acreage of approximately five acres. The site is located on S. Jefferson Street between Church Street and W. Duval Street. The street addresses for the two adjacent lots are 1311 S. Jefferson Street and 1405 S. Jefferson Street, Perry, Florida 32347. The LMI benefit for this activity is over 51%. The estimated acquisition cost is $850,000.
    3. Engineering/Architectural fees – CDBG-NR funds will be used to pay for engineering/architectural costs, which are estimated at $425,000 and will include all aspects of design, testing, surveying, and inspections that are required to complete the project.
    4. Grant Administration fees – CDBG-NR funds will be used to pay for grant administration fees that are estimated at $150,000 and will include all grant administration services from project startup to closeout.
      The City of Perry does not expect that anyone will be displaced as a result of CDBG-funded activities. If any persons are displaced as a result of the planned activities, the City of Perry will assist them as described in the City’s anti-displacement and relocation policy, which is available for review at City Hall.
      A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be held in the City Council Room at City Hall located at 224 S. Jefferson Street, Perry, Florida 32347 on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard.
      A draft copy of the application will also be available for review during normal business hours in the City Manager’s Office at City Hall by noon on April 18, 2025. Persons wanting to submit written comments on the application should send them to John Hart, City Manager, by e-mail to jhart@cityofperry.net, or by USPS mail to 224 S. Jefferson Street, Perry, Florida 32347 no later than April 21, 2025. Questions and/or comments may also be provided by phone to Mr. Hart at 850-584-7161.
      A copy of the final application will be available for review in the City Manager’s Office at City Hall no later than April 25, 2025. The application will be submitted to the grant agency on or about May 2, 2025.
