Taylor County’s Hudson Harvey, 17, (above) ripped off his cowboy hat and searched for his parents in the crowd immediately after he and his 15-year-old partner, Cantyn Bronson took home first place and a $40,000 check in the #8.5 “Stretch Shootout” of the U.S. Team Roping Championships in Fort Worth, Texas last week.
