Feds allocating $10.6 million for Keaton channel

After years of repeated requests and lobbying — including a steady stream of emails and phone calls in recent months — Taylor County Administrator LaWanda Pemberton finally received word this month that federal funding has been allocated to dredge the main Keaton Beach channel for the first time in more than 30 years.
