    PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION
    Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Chapter 373, Florida Statutes, the following application for permit was received on May 6, 2025:
    Brandon Moody, 1150 E Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL 32308-6912 has submitted an Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) application number ERP-123-248926-2. The project is located in Taylor County, Section 36, Township 4 South, Range 7 East, and includes a total project area of 4.23 acres.
    Interested persons may comment upon the application or submit a written request for a staff report containing proposed agency action regarding the application by writing to the Suwannee River Water Management District, Attn: Resource Management, 9225 C.R. 49, Live Oak, Florida 32060. Such comments or requests must be received by 5:00 PM within 14 days from the date of publication.
    No further public notice will be provided regarding this application. A copy of the staff report must be requested in order to remain advised of further proceedings. Substantially affected persons are entitled to request an administrative hearing, pursuant to Title 28, Florida Administrative Code, regarding the proposed agency action by submitting a written request after reviewing the staff report.

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, THAT THE TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF COUNT COMMISSIONERS WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING/STAKEHOLDER MEETING JUNE 17, 2025 AT 6:00 PM OR AS SOON THEREAFTER TO DISCUSS AND RECEIVE PUBLIC INPUT FOR THE KEATON BEACH BOAT RAMP AND STEINHATCHEE BOAT RAMP BY-PASS FEASIBILITY STUDY. AVCON, INC., THE CONSULTING FIRM SELECTED TO PREPARE THE FEASIBILITY STUDY WILL BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE INPUT AND ANSWER QUESTIONS.     NOTICE TO BIDDERS
    NEW SOFTBALL FIELD (DESIGN-BUILD) at TAYLOR COUNTY SPORTS COMPLEX TAYLOR COUNTY, FLORIDA
    Notice is hereby given that Taylor County will receive sealed bids (Please submit one original and two copies) at the Taylor County Courthouse, Attn: Gary Knowles, Clerk of the Court, 108 North Jefferson Street, Perry, Florida 32347 (850-838-3506) until 4:00 P.M. local time on July 18, 2025, for the New Softball Field (Design-Build) project at the Taylor County Sports Complex. Bids must be submitted in a sealed enveloped clearly marked “BID ENCLOSED: New Softball Field (Design Build).” Bids will be opened at the Taylor County Board of County Commissioners meeting to be held at the Taylor County Administration Complex, 201 East Green Street, Perry, Florida on July 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
    The project consists of providing all planning, design, permitting, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work described in the performance criteria package, but not necessarily limited to the following:
    Design, permitting, and construction of a new softball field, to include but not limited to fencing, netting, bleachers, shade structures, sidewalks, high mast lights, irrigation, grading, dug outs, and other incidentals needed to provide a complete softball field.
    The contract time for substantial completion shall be 180 calendar days from the date of the “Notice to Proceed (NTP).” The final project completion shall be 210 calendar days from the date of the “Notice to Proceed (NTP)”. Additional days will be awarded if additional alternates are awarded.
    Beginning on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the project documents may be obtained at www.taylorcountygov.com, or from Ms. Melody Cox at 850-371-0377 or melody.cox@taylorcountygov.com.
    Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total quote must be submitted with the quote. The quote security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Quote security shall be made payable to Taylor County. The successful contractor must be able to furnish proof of required insurance, a 100% Performance Bond, and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendar days following the date of the Notice to Proceed.
    A portion of the funding for this project is being provided by the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection and will be subject to all applicable grant assurances.
    The successful contractor will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). Wages paid to employees must comply with the minimum established by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage Determination. The successful contractor must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act, Copeland Act (Anti-Kickback Act), the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (CWHSSA), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Executive Order 11246.
    A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted at the Taylor County Sports Complex at 1685 U.S. 19, Perry, Florida 32347 on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. eastern. Questions relating to the Project Documents will be answered at that time. Attendance by prospective prime contractors is strongly recommended.
    The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right, it its sole and absolute discretion, to reject, to cancel, or withdraw this bid at any time and waive any irregularities in the bid process. The County reserves the right to award any contract to the respondent which it deems to offer the best overall service; therefore, the County is not bound to award any contract based on the lowest quoted price. The County, in its sole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to waive any minor defects in the process and to accept the bid deemed to be in the County’s best interest. No faxed Proposals will be accepted.

    NOTICE OF PROCEDURES FOR THE CLOSING OF STREETS, THOROUGHFARES AND ALLEYS
    TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: You will take notice that the Board of County Commissioners of Taylor County, Florida, upon the petition of certain of the adjacent landowners to hereinafter described property, will at 6:15 p.m. on the 17th day of June, 2025 at the Taylor County Administrative Complex, 201 East Green Street, Perry, Florida, 32347, consider and determine whether the County will vacate, abandon, close and will renounce and disclaim any and all right of the County and public in and to all streets, thoroughfares and alleys which run over, upon or through the following described lots, blocks, pieces or parcels of land, lying and being in Taylor County, Florida, and described as follows:
    DESCRIPTION:

    This hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.
    This Notice shall be mailed to property owners within 500 feet of the property directly affected and whose address is known by reference to the latest approved ad valorem tax roll.

    A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE MEETING to provide contractor orientation materials and visit the scheduled projects will be held on July 1st, 2025, at 10:00 am, located at 481 Industrial Park Drive, Perry, Florida 32348. The meeting will take place in the airport terminal conference room. You must attend this meeting to receive the bid documents and attend the review of the projects. The visit to the projects will immediately follow the orientation meeting.
