Amendment 3 approved;local tax revenues will be cut by $2 million next year

In Tuesday’s general election, Florida voters narrowly approved Amendment 3, a measure that will dramatically increase the state’s homestead exemption, saving homeowners billions of dollars in property taxes statewide, while drastically changing how local governments will fund basic services in the future.
