Beverly Joyce Robinson, 85, of Perry passed away Friday, May 30, at home surrounded by her children.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on March 7, 1940, to Agnes and Sterling Burton of Dillsboro Ind.
After losing her mother to tuberculoses, she was raised by her uncle, Carey Bocock in Dillsboro.
She met the love of her life, Larry Gene Robinson, through being a pen pal with him while he was in the Navy.
Once they met in person, they decided to get married a couple of weeks later.
They stayed happily married for 36 years, before she lost him to cancer in 1995.
She was known for her quirkiness, her hilarious cackle laughter and her enormous love for her family and friends.
She enjoyed shopping, crafting and, when the kids were young, she loved her all-day dance parties on Sundays.
She was proceeded in life by: her parents; aunts and uncles; her husband, Larry; and sister, Phyllis.
She is survived by: her three children, Lorre Hunsucker (Scott) of Live Oak, Kevin Robinson of Perry and Lisa Thurston (Robert) of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Karen Klaiber (Wayne) of Ames, Iowa; cousin, Del Baldwin of Tennessee; three brothers-in-law that she very much considered brothers, Joe Robinson (Evelyn) of North Carolina, Terry Robinson (Gulsim) of Colorado and Michael Robinson of Perry; five grandchildren, Shelby Mullendore (Dax), Eric Thurston (Shelby), Alex Thurston (Tara) and Ryan Thurston, all of Kansas City, and Kailee Mathews (Brandon) of Perry; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and five loving dogs who sat vigil by her bed.
There will be a private ceremony with family at a future date.
