City eyes ‘property maintenance code’

The City of Perry is proposing to adopt a new “Property Maintenance Code” that would set minimum standards for residential and commercial buildings as part of an effort to “protect the public health, safety and welfare of the community” and ensure that structures are “safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use.”
