School district still fighting FEMA over Idalia damage

The fallout from Hurricane Idalia in 2023 continues, as the Taylor County School Board is at a crossroads and must make a decision — continue to appeal funding denials from FEMA or pivot and seeking additional new dollars from grants or state loans.
