Although Georgia-Pacific’s ongoing dismantling of the Foley Cellulose Mill resulted in a $332 million drop in the county’s taxable value this year, nearly a third of the mill closure’s impact was offset by a robust year of residential and commercial construction and rising property values which resulted in a $101 million jump in the county’s real property values.
