Expect traffic delays on 98

Traffic in both directions on US 98 at the Taylor and Jefferson County line will be temporarily halted for up to 10 minutes at a time over the next six to eight weeks as crews place the beams for the new bridge being built over the Aucilla River.

Each beam, which is 107-feet long, will be trucked in and lifted by two cranes and placed on the newly constructed bridge caps. Eight beams are scheduled to be trucked at a time and traffic will be stopped on both ends of the bridge for up to 10 minutes per beam.
