Penelope “Penny” Whitfield Dixon

Penelope “Penny” Whitfield Dixon, 79, died Dec. 1, 2025, in Leesburg. (850) 584-4149 1400 N. Johnson Stripling Rd. Perry, FL 32347 She was born May 19, 1946, to Richard Lorenzo and Mary Lou Whitfield of Perry. A retired educator, she was devoted to her family and her community. She loved music, and could play a wide variety of instruments – from the French horn and piano to the trumpet and “knee bone.” She is survived by her two sons, David Dixon and Daniel Dixon, as well as her beloved pet, “Mr. Redman.” Memorial services are planned at a later date.
