It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tawnee “Jessica” Archer, who left us on Jan. 20, 2026, at the age of 40. Jessica was born on Feb. 7, 1985, in Tallahassee, and she spent nearly 10 years living in Jacksonville, where she got her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of North Florida (UNF) before return to Perry to live for the past 10 years. She was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her. A devoted homemaker, she cherished her family and created a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter. She was a proud college graduate with a bachelor’s degree, and her passion for learning was evident from her high school days, where she excelled as the captain of her Brain Bowl Club. Known for her adventurous spirit, Jessica embraced life with an enthusiasm that was contagious. She had a deep love for arts and crafts, often sharing her creative talents with friends and family. Those who knew her will remember her as a generous soul, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. She is preceded in death by her parents Ricky and Kim Collins, and her aunt, Gwen Faulkner, who was very dear to Jessica. Jessica is survived: by her loving husband, Grant Archer; children, Nathan, Alison, Jayden and Bella; and her cat, Milo. Funeral services will be held in her honor on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home with Brother Zac Rock officiating. Interment service will follow immediately after in Woodlawn Cemetery.
