    Low-cost spay/neuter services available

    Posted on January 28, 2026

Hearts for Hometown Dogs (HFHD) is accepting appointments for March and April for low-cost spay/neuter services for dogs and cats.

The low-cost services are being underwritten by a $10,000 grant HRHD received from the Florida Animal Friend fund.

The cost will be $60 for dogs and $35 for cats. Both Perry Animal Hospital and Owens Animal Hospital are participating with the program.

“The only real solution to the overpopulation crisis, unwanted litters and senseless euthanasia shelter animals face every day is prevention. The grant is limited to one calendar year or until funds run out, so don’t wait to get your pet on the list,” HFHD volunteers said. To register for appointment, contact HFHD via their Facebook page.
