On Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library will present a program featuring retired North Florida Baptist minister and author, the Rev. Jimmy Deas, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
His many books include suspense, intrigue, mystery and romance without vulgarity or profanity.
The program is free and everyone is welcome.
The group is also now accepting entries for its 20th annual Friends of the Library Short Story Contest.
Rules, guidelines and cover sheets are now available at the library.
The contest deadline is Friday, April 10, and cash prices will be awarded in each age group.
Residents are also invited to “save the date” for the Friends’ next book sale, planned Saturday, May 9.
