Registration open for Florida 4-H Legislature

Senior 4-H members (ages 14-18) are invited to register for the upcoming Florida 4-H Legislature 2026, which will beheld June 22-26 in Tallahassee.

“Florida 4-H Legislature gives teen 4-H members a hands-on, learn-by-doing experience in state government each summer. During this exciting event, youth step into roles such as Florida 4-H senators, representatives, lobbyists, media correspondents, Lt. Governor or Governor in a mock legislative session held at the Florida State Capitol,” Taylor County 4-H Extension Agent Abbey Tharpe said.

“Participants will experience firsthand how laws are considered, debated, passed or vetoed while building leadership skills and learning how public policy is created,” she said.

The cost is $430 and registration is open now through June 1 via 4-H online.
