Gray Construction Services, Inc. in Trenton has been retained as the contractor for the new Roy’s Restaurant building in Steinhatchee, and preliminary site plans were submitted to the county for approval last week. The restaurant was destroyed by Hurricane Helene in September 2024 and has been serving popular menu favorites to local residents and visitors utilizing a food trailer in the parking lot for more than a year.
The iconic Roy’s Restaurant in Steinhatchee is progressing through the final stages of planning and design to rebuild at its scenic location near the mouth of the Steinhatchee River.
