With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christina Marie Allmendinger, who departed this world on Feb. 14, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on July 4, 1877, in Bay City, Mich., Christina brought warmth and compassion to everyone she encountered throughout her life. She served as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), dedicating her career to caring for others. Her loving spirit and steadfast commitment to the wellbeing of her patients left a profound impact on all who knew her in the medical community. Christina’s kindness was often felt, not only through her professional role, but also in her personal life, where she lavished affection on her friends and family. She was preceded in death by: her father, Kenneth J. Smith; brother, Darrell E. Mead Sr.; and grandfather, Norman E. Mead. She is survived by: her mother, Norma J. Smith; her children, son, Brandon J. Allmendinger and daughter, Brianna M. (Brad) Johnson; brother, Kenneth J. (Ida) Smith; many nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends whose unwavering love and support were instrumental in shaping Christina’s character and values. Christina’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, yet her spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell to Christina Marie Allmendinger, a remarkable woman who embodied strength, compassion and love, we remember her not only for her dedicated service as a caregiver, but also for the joy she brought into our lives.
