Margaret Evelyn Rogers It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Evelyn Rogers, who left us peacefully on Feb. 23, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on May 9, 1931, in Providence, Fla., to Johnny Ward Sr. and Ruby O’Steen Ward. Margaret married F.T. Rogers in 1948 and they began their life together. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was known for her kindness, her unwavering support and faith. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband F.T. in 2005; a son, Terry Rogers, in 2021; a sister, Mary Frances Rogers; and a brother, Johnny Ward Jr. She is survived by: her son, Danny Rogers, and wife Dawn, of Branford; four grandchildren, Dakota Rogers, Trent Rogers and wife, Kaylee, Rachel Bell and husband, Thomas, and Anna Roland and husband, Taylor; and three great-grandchildren, Rhen Rogers, Asher Rogers and Nash Roland; as well as other friends and family. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, at Old Providence Baptist Cemetery in Providense, with Brother Danny Rogers officiating.
