Hiring drive starts for Klausner

CareerSource North Florida is hosting a pair of career opportunities events next week for Klausner Lumber One, LLC, in Live Oak, which hopes to begin hiring its first shift in the second quarter of this year.

First announced in January 2013, the multi-million dollar sawmill is expected to have a substantial impact on area timber growers, loggers and end users across the region. The first concrete was poured at the Klausner site on Saturday, March 15.

Although applications will not be accepted at events, Klausner, in conjunction with CareerSource North Florida, will host informational sessions at Suwannee-Hamilton Technical Center (415 Pinewood Drive SW in Live Oak) on Friday, April 4, from 1-7 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
