Gunter: taxpayers shouldn’t pay for ethics, Sunshine Law training for elected officials

Mayor Daryll Gunter said he will not be attending next week’s city council workshop on ethics and Florida’s Sunshine Law because he feels “it is the responsibility of the person” to educate themselves on the issues—not at the expense of taxpayers.

“All of this information is available online. I don’t feel taxpayers should pay for it,” Gunter said during recent discussions regarding the workshop.
