This past winter, which ended last week, was the region’s wettest in the past 16 years, with the Suwannee River Water Management District’s (SRWMD) 15-county area seeing an average of 17 inches from Dec. 20 to March 20.
In that region, Taylor County received the most, with the entire county receiving 150 to 200 percent of the average rainfall for the three-month period.
