According to a local forester, an estimated 1,200 landowners with planted pines will pay approximately $1.8 million more in property taxes over the next 10 years due to the Taylor County Value Adjustment Board’s (VAB) decision to uphold Property Appraiser Shawna Beach’s increased tax valuation of agricultural land beginning in 2025.
