Taylor County ranked #1 fastest-shrinking county in U.S. in ‘24-25

Ravaged by back-to-back catastrophic hurricanes and the closure of the Georgia-Pacific (GP) Foley Cellulose Mill, Taylor County ranked #1 in the nation among all 3,143 counties last year in terms of having the steepest population decline.
