Carl Leon Cone, 86, of Crawfordville, died May 17, 2026.

Larry Allen Sharpe

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Allen Sharpe, who left us on May 17, 2026, at the age of 73.

Larry was born on June 30, 1952, in Opelika, Ala., and spent many happy years making his home in Perry.

He was a talented electrician in the construction industry, known for his skill and dedication. He earned his Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) and built a fulfilling career that he took great pride in.

Throughout his life, Larry enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy.

He loved playing his guitar and singing, often filling his home with music.

Fishing was another of his favorite pastimes, where he could find peace by the water, and he cherished the moments spent sitting on his front porch, soaking up the beauty of nature.

Larry leaves behind: his beloved spouse, Shirley Sharpe; his three children, Brandy Knudsen, Randy Sharpe and Amanda Sharpe; five grandchildren, Brooke Davis and her husband, Jeffrey, Emily Knudsen, Ruthie Sharpe and her boyfriend, Aubrey Allen, Caden Blanton and Rhiannon Crum; and one great-grandson due soon named River Allen; as well as a host of family members who will always remember his warm heart and infectious smile.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m. in Pisgah Cemetery. Friends and family will gather to celebrate Larry’s life and share stories that made us all smile. In the meantime, let us remember the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
