Allen Robert Sadler, a beloved father, son and friend, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on Aug. 5, 1954, in Perry, where he spent his life. Allen, known affectionately for his quick wit and humor, was a talented mechanic who dedicated many years of his life to his work at Buckeye. His passion for tinkering with cars and spending countless hours in his shop was a testament to his craftsmanship and love for all things automotive. An outdoorsman at heart, Allen enjoyed fishing and hunting, often sharing stories and laughter during these cherished experiences. He had a passion for classic westerns, finding joy in the tales and characters that echoed the values of hard work and determination. Most importantly, he treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaJean Sadler, and his father, Robert Sadler. Allen is survived by: his devoted mother, Alice Sadler; seven children, Shea Sadler, Michael Sadler, Nick Sadler and his wife, Kylie, Jason Wall, Becky Strickland and her husband, Lee, Megan Rowell and her husband, Corey, and Kira Groh and her husband, Jon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, June Holt and her husband, Acey; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held to honor Allen’s life and legacy. Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry to share memories, celebrate his life and offer their condolences. His family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service, from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday. An interment service will follow immediately after in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery giving all an opportunity to say their final goodbyes. Allen Robert Sadler will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
