Jason Edward Taylor, 50, was born on April 6, 1976, in Bartow and passed away on Aug. 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, friend and brother in Christ. His family meant the world to him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Jason is survived by: his wife, Casey Taylor; their daughter, Kaia Taylor; his father, Joseph Taylor of Lithia; his brother, Scott Taylor, and wife, Shannan, of Lakeland, and their son, Drew; his sister, Kaitlin, and her husband, Matt, of Lithia, and their children, Hayven, Hadley, Brody, Joseph and Kenzington; and Janan Taylor and family of Lithia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Taylor. Jason and his family moved to Perry in 2019, where they made their home and became part of the community. He worked for Martin Marietta, where he served as a plant manager. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. His coworkers at Martin Marietta became a second family to him, and the friendships and bonds he formed there meant a great deal to him. Jason was a member of Boyd Methodist Church, and his faith was an important part of his life. His faith, love for his family and devotion to those he cared about were at the heart of the man he was. He will be remembered for the many roles he filled throughout his life, but most especially as a husband and father. His love, strength and presence will be deeply missed, and the life he built and the memories he leaves behind will forever be carried in the hearts of those who loved him. A service celebrating Jason’s life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. at Boyd Methodist Church. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7) Friends may send condolences to the family at www. joepburnsfuneralhomes. com.
