Perry awarded $86,825 state grant to advance Gram’s Legacy industrial site

The City of Perry has been awarded $86,825 in state funding to complete surveying and environmental work to move the Gram’s Legacy site toward possible development. Owned by Andy Jackson, the property — which includes a 25-acre citrus grove — sits off Hwy. 19 between Thomas Demps Lane and Puckett Road. As part of the grant agreement, Jackson has committed to deed a roadway corridor to the city, opening the door for the future extension of water, wastewater and natural gas service to the area.
