Commission votes 3-2 to give $1/hr raise to employees

The Taylor County Commission will hold the first of two hearings next Monday on the county’s 2026-27 budget, which currently has a roughly $1 million deficit between recurring expenses and recurring revenues after a divided board agreed to add a $1/hour raise for all county employees.
