County working to add data center protections to LDRs

at its Sept. 22 meeting, outlining the services his firm will provide the county in updating its land development regulations (LDRs) to add protections in case a data center decided to locate here. The commission approved a task order with NFPS to begin the work, which is expected to take four to six months.
The Taylor County Commission has hired engineering firm North Florida Professional Services (NFPS) to help update the county’s land development regulations (LDRs) to ensure they include proper safeguards in the event a data center wants to locate here.
