Mayor, commissioner to throw first pitches during opening day of rec softball season

Six teams involving 75 participants will begin play Thursday at the Taylor County Sports Complex when the girls recreational softball program holds opening day ceremonies.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cake auction followed by the introduction of players, prayer and national anthem.
