Whittington to speak at library

Mayo author Jonnie Kidd Whittington will speak at the Friends of Taylor County Public Library meeting on Monday, May 19, at 5:30 p.m.

The program is being held one week early this month due to the Memorial Day holiday. Whittington is the author of five books, including “The Kidd Family Adventure Series,” a collection of historical fiction novels based on her own family.

The program is free and the public is invited to attend. The library is located at 403 N. Washington St.
