Review: ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’ can’t decide who it wants to kill

Although the film will likely never make its money back and is already considered 2013’s first box office bust, “Jack the Giant Slayer” is a lot more fun than one might expect and despite suffering from several significant tonal problems, it’s a pretty solid pre-summer popcorn flick.

The movie is rated PG-13 for intense scenes of fantasy action violence, some frightening images and brief language.
