An on-board camera captured details of the deadly shootout between Timberland Ford employee Earl Edward Clague Jr. and Taylor County Deputy Robert Lundy which took place in the dealership’s service area Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Clague fired two shots at point blank range toward Lundy, striking him once in the critical “center mass” (abdomen) area. After being hit, Lundy sought cover behind his vehicle and returned fire, striking Clague twice. Clague died at the scene.
PHOTO: The Feb. 5 shooting at Timberland Ford reverberated throughout the county. Three individuals, including dealership employees John Cook and Mike Mahoney, and TCSO Deputy Robert Lundy all received critical injuries from which they continue to recover.
