This has been a pretty successful summer so far, and the latest hit is “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” which brings together the franchise’s two principal casts along with its original director to create a fun and compelling installment in the mutant saga and the launching ground for hopefully more in the future.
This is easily is one of the best “X-Men” films to date, capturing the best features of “X2” and “First Class” to tell a story connecting the various characters throughout time on a mission to save not only the mutant race but the world as a whole.
“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is one of the best “X-Men” movies to date and hopefully will provide a great foundation for next installment. For the first time since “Last Stand” came out, I feel the franchise has a bright future ahead of it, pun intended.
The film is rated PG- 13 for sequences of intense sci-fi violence and action, some suggestive material, nudity and language.
