Time to flush the hydrants…

The City of Perry Water Division, in conjunction with the City Fire Department, will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the city and county during the months of June, July and August.

The program will begin Tuesday, June 10, and continue each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents are advised not to do any laundry on those days.

Residents may also experience slight water pressure and discoloration issues; however, “they are only temporary and should clear up within 24 hours,” city officials said.
