VA clinic return one step closer to reality

On Monday, Taylor County took a big step toward bringing a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) clinic back to the community.

After more than a year of discussions between local officials and VA representatives, the Taylor County Commission approved a lease agreement during a special meeting June 9. The lengthy document, which tops 60 pages, details the modifications needed to make the county-owned building suitable to the VA, which will lease it from the county.
