Need to change your political party affiliation?

Florida is a closed primary state, which means in a Primary Election you may only vote for party candidates of the party for which you are registered, Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland reminds residents.

“The Primary Election will be held August 26, so if you would like to make a party change you must do so before the books close 29 days before an election. The books will close on July 28.”
