County jail to get new $65,000 air conditioner

With the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office concerned the air conditioning units at the county jail could give out any day, the Taylor County Commission agreed last week to make an emergency purchase of a new unit.

The cost of one new unit along with a new coil for the second unit is expected to cost around $65,000.
