While there will be no Taylor County School Board races on the Nov. 4 election ballot, the board will be asking voters to consider renewing a 0.25 mill critical needs property tax for an additional four years to help cover increased technology costs.
In 2010, Taylor County voters narrowly approved a measure which allowed the Taylor County School District to levy the 0.25 mill tax to cover certain costs, namely returning physical education and music classes to lower grades and helping fund student transportation.
