Teen gets traffic citation for fatal crash

The local teen involved in a fatal head-on collision that claimed the life of 56-year-old Wayne Gregory Dean was cited for a traffic infraction by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) for his role in the crash and received a $151 fine handed down by County Judge Bill Blue.

Henry Jay IV pled no contest to a citation for “improper change of lane or course” during court proceedings June 20. Blue agreed to withhold adjudication, which will result in the teen not receiving points on his driver’s license for the crash, court officials said.
